View Full Version : 3D Gloop... good idea?

I've been seeing and hearing about 3D Gloop (https://www.3dgloop.com/) for a while now.

It really seems to be a nice PLA and ABS vulcanizing glue with a few secret ingredients.

This makes sense of course as it takes bike tire patches to a whole new level.

However, I also got to reading the material safety data sheet or the MSDS (https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5aaef702506fbe52dc41bebc/t/5bad0e350d92970c0593bffa/1538068022332/PLA+Gloop+SDS+07-27-18.pdf).
If you bore into it a bit, you'll find this stuff is pretty nasty!
The safety warning in the YouTube vids aren't kidding!

Okay, so some of these statistics are fringe and high exposure risks.
Never the less, it is worth knowing this stuff ranks right up there.

This is worth knowing; section 11 points to the more toxic of these elements.

Sadly, my print environment is not sufficient for working with this level of risk.
