View Full Version : Rapide 3D to sell 3D Printers....again?

02-09-2016, 02:31 PM
It has recently come to our attention while surfing the FB groups that a user pointed out that now Rapide3D, the "company" behind RapideOne and RapideLite/XL/350/500 3D Printers is starting to sell 3D printers again.

In fact if you surf:

you end up with two nice buttons: a BUY NOW button for the Rapide200 printer and a PREORDER button for the Rapide200XL printer.

If you click on the BUY NOW button for the Rapide200 printer, you're then taken to:

where you're supposedly to be allowed to complete payment and full order of any amount of Rapide Lite 200 printers.

While MaxVirtual.com seems a one-guy opperated business (as per the Contacts (http://www.maxvirtual.com/contact.html) page) and they sell themselves as just "official reseller of the Rapide Lite 200", we feel it's totally unethical that the Rapide3D company is doing business in the background while still owing near $75,000 (http://www.print3dforum.com/showthread.php/629-IndieGoGo-Campaign-The-Rapide3D-Owed-LIST) to their initial, loyal indiegogo "kickstarter" backers that put faith into their business and brand.

We ask you to please spread the word and stop anyone from doing business with such brand until all debts are fully paid!

Additionally, this last week several press/media has started contacting me for more details on this big "failaud"/campaign and details are being addressed as we speak, this included.

Let's spread the word and keep togheter. United we stand!

Very interesting.

I noticed on the Indiegogo pages the "Closed" banner has been removed. Perk links are inactive, just noting a change.

I'vd just sent an email to maxvirtual and encourage everybody to do so:
"Good day,

I just heard that you were reselling the Rapid Lite 200. I pledged more than a thousand dollars on Rapid Lite 200 XL campaign on Indiegogo and am astonished to see that you are reselling those 3D printers. May I let you know that Rapid Lite and Ethan Hunt still owes printers or refunds from the pledges that numerous persons have maid a year ago.

Do you still intend to sell those printers knowing what you know now?

Please be advised that reseling printers that have already been paid by honest people but never delivered and sold back may be considered as a fraud and punishable by law.

Please, realise that this is a highly negative action that could make a really bad publicity for your own business.

I encourage you to cease reselling the Rapide lite 3D printers as long as Ethan Hunt hasn’t fulfilled all perks from his previous campaigns on Indiegogo.

You must have a valid email adress to contact Ethan Hunt. Therefore, please forward this email to me since none of the available adresses seems to work.

Let's see how much of smart he is.... he should realize messing with a company owing $75k to people should affect him/his brand... and being in the US, with US people being owed SO MUCH MONEY could put him in SERIOUS trouble...

Just sayin....

I'm lost for words quite frankly, seeing "buy now" and "in stock" on the maxvirtual website. I want to know where this "stock" has come from too! Does this mean the factory is back up and running? And if so, why isn't there a campaign update reassuring all us original backers that our orders are now moving forward? Or did I just miss it? With so many people still owed perks this "stock" can't exactly be surplus stock! Or is there a clue in the website name: "virtual". I will definitely be sending an e-mail to this guy also! And I'd like to know who's processing his payments for the printers.
It's been said once before bolsoncerrado, but I'd like to say it again. Great job! And thank you for your tireless vigilance on this matter!

AFAIK the "original" factory is "no more".

Apologises posted that message in the wrong topic it was supposed to go here: http://www.print3dforum.com/showthread.php/629-IndieGoGo-Campaign-The-Rapide3D-Owed-LIST

To answer regardless, just to go fishing for information as they are "ex employees" and may be able to shed some light on the situation.

The light is that most of the employees were fired when there was no more money and probably most of them are still owed money as well as we do.... but since it's China (the wild wild west as they say) they don't care (two ways game).

Problem is we don't live in China and we DO care. At least I do care. And I'll fight until my last excempt to get back what's mine. Bad move he decided to do when he joined that half US half Shenzhen guy... lol
