This is where I am at:

I need to source all the parts for the bowden system to feed the filament onto, then think of a way to place the nemas "smartly" towards the Rapide... and we should be all set. Oh btw! You'll need to hook the two Z motors onto one single DRV so add a heatsink to that DRV first (although I recommend adding heatsinks EVERYWHERE!)

I read your thread on the Diamond Facebook page and the extruder they linked to http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:275593 would work with modifications to the part that fixes to the frame, you could then mount 3 motors on the crossbar (see my very bad/quick drawing)

Unsure if there would be too much angle for that.
One other printer (Prusa compatible) had them placed on the Z bars where the threaded and plain rods sit, but that would make 2 placements, and we need 3 hmmmmm.... may be one in the center?

I have installed the bracket for the motors, for the spool.
Can put 6 different spools and 5-6 extruders motors
The motors will be vertically in order to have the filament horizontaly (which is easier for the bowden system)
4 motors are hiden behind the frame
I am drawing for the moment the extruders (because i need minimalist extruder), and I will be able to install the motors.

Wow! That is one giant piece of engineering! :)
With such long arms it will need to be held down really well especially when the weight of all the filament goes on.

It can't move because it is inserted on the frame and locked with "keys" behind.
The weight is evenly distributed along the axis of the frame
I have tested the pieces, and normally, it is enough, I cross the fingers :)

Well it looks like you are trying really hard to avoid any movement but you might want to consider joining the three uprights together as this will help spread the load.

Thanks Bob for the advice.
there is a bar on the top of the arms to make all compact, sorry i don't installed it for the moment.
I have wait to install that because I was waiting the XL option, but I don't received it for the moment.
The Wires of the extruder and the proximity sensor will be on the other side, and will pass on a hole as for the X motor

Hi Guys,
Getting ready to install my Diamond hotend as well - have either of you figured out what firmware mods we have to do? if you could share, I would appreciate it!
Thanks!

I am not at this step, but I will do it with that :
