I am working on it.
One way, could be to install a platform on the top of the printer, to receive the motors like this.
Attachment 833
it will not be very nice but useful
for the airtripper bowden :

Have you seenthis?

Thanks Bob for the link, i didn't have seen this project.
It seems to have great results.
I already have ordered the motors and the board for my initial project.
I will report here the advance of the project.
If the results of the initial project are not good enough, it will be easy to pass to this project (just buy the diamond nozzle and the 3 heatsink)
I think the issue with the rapide board is that the Z axis is split on two independent drivers/motors, and many "prusa" builders (reprap community) connect both motors to the same driver, saving a driver space. Rapide has only one extra free spot, so 3 motors for this is unlikely to be supported "out of the box" by rapide...
The RL200 board is very near the rumba board.
Do you think that the RL200, RL350 and RL500 have the same board ?
I don't think they could have developped 2 differents boards.
the 500 can have 3 extruders since the beginning so ...
On prusa with the rumba board, they connect the 2 z motors in the same driver so can we do the same to liberate 1 driver ?
Where are the drivers assignate to run ? in Marlin i suppose (or am i totally wrong ?)
I have found pin assignement in Marlin.
And, it depend of the board.
Few board have only one Z assignement, others have 2.
So we could use it for another extruder but the more complicated is to determine where our board is specify
If you can combine two Z motors cables together safe and ease, then you can just attach it to one driver and three drivers become free for three extuders. Marlin fw side is the easiest part.
Can't we just connect the same wires of the 2 motors on the same Z connectors?
Yes you can. And, I don't know but just think that, you need to adjust the voltage of that Z driver.
