Hey there!
Sorry for not posting for a long time, lots of work to do lately.
I wanted to create a nice post with good pictures, etc., and of course never started :D

Here are the files:

Centers of magnets are 32mm apart from the center of the bed, both horizontally and vertically. Bed size is 170mm x 170mm.
Currently I'm using 160mm x 160mm silicon heater, without holes.
I can...
I would also test one! Love the idea of getting back the original print bed.
My setup is 24V
Also we need to source the proper strong magnets and glue.
Another option can be sticking the custom made PCB heater on the bottom of the OEM print surface, with the same 3 holes, that will act as stabilizers.
Well, heated bed was the must have option for me, I am printing a lot of abs, heated bed helps with other plastics too, you don't need thick brims to hold the print in place. I'm using glass and...
Wow nice! I see someone is already converting! :D
Do not throw away anything, it will help you a lot! And do not unpin any connector yet.
Step-downs are to get 12 and 5V from 24V (stepper fans,...
Yep, that is the goal! :D I did several designs for the "legs", some are for my current setup, some are for the final PCB Heater version. Also depends on the magnets to use.
This one is final for...
That's the option I had :D

The original extruder (gears and cap) is fitted in the extruder case, the other half of the extruder (with logo) is placed on the outer side of the case. Screws go all the way through the case into...

Thanks! Heatbed cables? What sort of concern?
The only thing you can hear is fan noise :D Printer is so quiet :D

Well, most of the time the printer was collecting dust :D The actual work took less than 3 month :D
I did not use original Cube 3 screen. Instead I have used the one that comes with BTT TFT24, the same size screen. It just has to be carefully separated from the board. I personally damaged mine,...
It is the same size, but different type. Cube 3 screen uses SPI interface, while MKS and BTT boards use parallel interface.
Some final tests before closing the case.
Printing some missing parts, and the quality is pretty good!

(Hyper)Cube 3 E3D Edition MK3 RC1 is on the way :D
Yep, I did that, but for some reason I don't have a connection :(
The one with USB Type B connector works, the one with USB type A - does not :(
I thought maybe it's because of the small chip on...
Testing LEDs and fans, the little pcb board works as expected :D

Most of the wires re-used. Thermistors and IR Sensor are connected. Fans are not yet soldered on the pigtails. Leds are only a mock-up :D
