(BETA) Cube3 Printable Nozzle Replacement - by MegaloDon
I'm currently printing with Don's nozzle parts (printable)... We'll see how it ends up. Preparing the head was quite easier than stock ones! Very promising!

OK tried twice with a "simple" print using 70 micron and the printer stops extruding. Its not a nozzle issue tho bc if i manually push the filament it prints again, so I think it's a damn slicer problem (Cubify). I'm now printing the SAME file again at 200micron and so far so good.

Looks great. Looking forward your design.

Note: This is designed to print on the Cube 3 using Cube Print software!
I know Slic3r will not slice anything smaller than .5 mm wide and will end up missing supports and some other areas of the print. I don't know about other slicers (like KISSlicer, etc.) but use them at your own peril.
You may notice the supports look a bit unusual. This is because I incorporated what I call "blob shields". This greatly reduces the problem with blobbing. They are currently oriented to be printed with the left extruder, but if you want to print with the right extruder, just rotate them 180 degrees. The shield needs to be facing the direction of the extruder. I may make a separate post just for explaining the blob shields if anyone is interested. I'm not sure if anyone else has found this same solution, but I think it may be unique to the Cube 3.
I found out the problem I was having with jamming had nothing to do with my new print head. It was the Inland glow in the dark PLA filament that was causing the jams. This filament has a very bumpy texture. It printed fine for about the first 1/4 of the roll. Then the diameter started getting bigger and was restricting in the tube. I had a tiny bit of purple PLA left and tested with that. No problems! Since this is the only PLA I have left, I printed it in Inland ABS using the one I had printed in PLA to print it. The PLA print head held up fine but did have some warping due to the higher heat. Not bad for printing ABS with a PLA print head.

Inland ABS is a little harder to print the finer details of the print head. I used Mythandar's temp modifier to change the temp to 250 (Cube Print software prints at 260 for ABS). It prints much better this way. It may work fine with 3DS ABS but Inland ABS needed a lower heat.
You can print this in PLA if you are only printing in PLA. It should hold up ok. I haven't done extensive testing but the only issue I have had so far was printing ABS with the PLA print head as mentioned above.
If I find heat issues, I already have a solution in mind. There is a 5 mm OD, 3 mm ID teflon tube that comes inside the original cartridges that can be used as an insulator. I hope everyone saved this! As long as there are no heat issues, it would be pointless to do this since it adds to the complexity of the assembly. Hopefully we won't need it.
I haven't tried it without the barrel nut yet, but it will probably work without it. The key to using the barrel nut is to put something like a coat hanger wire inside the tube while screwing it on. It needs to fit somewhat snugly inside the tube and be bigger around than the filament. Mine measures 1.95 mm OD. Do NOT use filament because the tubing will squish down to the size of the filament and cause restriction.
There are 2 versions of the back piece. One is for M5 thread and the other is for M6.

For posterity's sake:

I will post this later.

It is an M5 fitting. This is the only part you have to purchase (besides filament). The rest all come with the original cartridges. The tubing is already in the original print heads.

I have the same issue that the diameter got bigger after about 4 hours printing. Any progress about this?

My filament is PLA. And the printer head is printed with PLA.

There's no fix for this that I know of. It's not an issue with the print head. The filament is restricting in the tubing that goes from the extruder to the print head. The only way it would work is to get a tube that has a slightly larger inside diameter. I just don't use that filament on my Cube anymore. I use it in my Prusa that doesn't use a bowden tube.
