    It gets stranger and stranger...

    I opened up my old Infinity Rinse cartridge since the plastic bag seems to have had tears in it from over a year ago.
    Yep, also sealed to the bone!

    The tape dots that are included are a fiberglass or nylon reinforced material (not included in my new one. The seller made me aware of that early)
    It appears it will provide -less- stiction instead of more stiction.
    Maybe a heat shield from the original magnet covers if it is indeed fiberglass (?).

    The only thing different between the old and the recent is the date label on the spool inside the cartridge.

    Maybe this was a plan all along for every cartridge and somehow they cheap'd out.

    I'll be parting out one of these carts if there is interest.
    1ea 100% INF chip
    1ea cartridge case with filament driver and all the seals save what I need to remove.
    1ea hot-end assembly w/ caterpillar track in tact.
    I'll be keeping the filament for myself.

    Interesting... you cannot assign INF Rinse to your object.
    Cubify automatically applied INF Rinse to "sidewalks" and "supports" if it is available in the print setup process.

    So in firmware, if filament_loaded = infrinse then onlyavailable=supports+sidewalks else deny(all); ? :P

    Pretty much... and the user calls BS and just strings the PVA filament with a PLA chip installed.
    Use MM for supports, do the dance to make it work in Cubify, and whalla... user needs to get off his bum and just prove this out.

    Oh, the diode I use for battery saver mode is 5W, 1N5333B in case anyone is following this thought.
    Most 3V devices will benefit from a Li-Ion 14500 or 10440 cell and a dummy fitted with the diode (0.5V drop forward biased).
    When the cell is at full charge, the output is 3.7V and at nominal voltages, the output will be around 3.2.
    As you can see, it will never truly sag below 3.0V since that would be the fast falling output of the Li-Ion cell.

    Found this very useful in many electronics including small battery operated video cams.
