I am just using the stock glue bottle/stick that came with the printer on the stock print pad. Everything about my setup is vanilla right now. I just finished printing the FTF Extruder Hub from Thingiverse so that is my next venture. I am going to mess with my gap settings tonight to see if that helps matters any.

True, the glue itself has some level of unmanageable thickness. Sometimes it just comes down to "good enough".
