    That little coupling trick is something that was purely accidental. Hard edges on the 4mm tube; and solid clips in the grooves. It is designed for a 1.8mm section of the larger tube from inside the cartridge shell. I've printed clips and they worked great. I think it is there as a print file on thingiverse.

    I think that, in my case, the problem is that the Teflon tube is quite soft and slippery.
    I made the grooves in my lathe so they were perfectly parallel and 0.45 mm deep but the tube slips out anyway, This happened three times so I put a quick connector to be able to print the box I had have designed.
    Perhaps the ring I cut from the polyamide tube might have a little thinner wall so I will try printing the clips you mentioned to see if they give a tighter adjustment.

    Its a very lucky design. Materials that deform will not work. The tube is done right. This is about a proper keeper. There is a lot of pressure in this junction.
