    can't connect to the printer

I have problems connecting to the printer,
    I have installed Cura, connected the USB cable;
my computer installed the driver for the printer,
I have set the settings in Cura

but if I try to print or to use the level wizard in Cura I get a message that the program is not able to connect to the printer ...

it got COM port #20, it doesn't matter if I set it on auto detect or manually select COM 20

    the error message is:
Connecting to: COM20 with baudrate: 115200 (configured)
Unexpected error while connecting to serial port: COM20 SerialException: 'could not open port COM20: [Error 5] Access is denied.' @ machineCom.py:_monitor:332

    ???

I tried with the RRD Rumba Taurino Driver - but it doesn't work.

(I am using Windows 7 Home Premium)

Repetier is only able to connect - but doesn't work properly either ...

I tried to work a bit with Repetier:

    - it connects to my printer
    - it shows the temperature of the heat bed
    - under manual control: pressing the home buttons moves the printer head all the way until the end positions, but it tries to go further (cancelled it immediately, didn't move it in z direction so that I don't damage my heat bed)
    - under manual control: pressing the buttons to move the print head manually doesn't seem to result in any reaction of the printer
    - under manual control: changing the heat bed temperature doesn't heat up the plate (I don't think it takes that long, it shows my current room temperature; but nothing changes)
    - I can access the SD card (if plugged into the printer) through Repetier

I managed to establish for a moment communication to the printer (according to the protocol),
but then it stopped again ...

I have no clue what to do

Changing monitoring state from 'Connecting' to 'Error: 0: Extruder switched off. MINTEMP t...'
Recv: Error:Printer stopped due to errors. Fix the error and use M999 to restart. (Temperature is reset. Set it after restarting)
    Recv: echo:SD init fail
    Recv: echo:SD card ok
Changing monitoring state from 'Offline' to 'Opening serial port'
Connecting to: COM21 with baudrate: 115200 (configured)
    Connected to: Serial<id=0x28ee930, open=True>(port='COM21', baudrate=115200, bytesize=8, parity='N', stopbits=1, timeout=5, xonxoff=False, rtscts=False, dsrdtr=False), starting monitor
Changing monitoring state from 'Opening serial port' to 'Connecting'
    Recv: start
    Recv: echo: External Reset
    Recv: Marlin 1.0.0
Recv: echo: Last Updated: Nov 24 2014 14:18:30 | Author: (none, default config)

    Recv: Error:0
Recv: : Extruder switched off. MINTEMP triggered !

Did you try asking Ethan for the correct printer driver for your OS?

Yes - I wrote to him, he send me settings for Repetier to try (it didn't work too).
I replied back to him and am waiting now for an answer.

I was hoping that maybe somebody here has an idea how to solve it ...

If I manage to get it running I will write what I did, so that others who might experience the same problem and who find this thread find answers.

Can you post this settings so everybody can benefit from your infos?

Did you assemble the stop-sensor high enough that the printer stops correctly?

I uploaded the settings in a new thread
    http://www.print3dforum.com/showthre...?p=165#post165

I did adjust all end stops, but the printer ignores them.
Something doesn't work in the communication between computer and printer ...
