    Updating Firmware

    Updating Firmware

The CubePro firmware can either be updated via wireless connection or by using a USB key. When using a USB key to update the firmware, go to www.3dsystems.com/store/support/cubepro/downloads and click Firmware to download the latest firmware. Then transfer the downloaded firmware file to a USB key.
    How to update the firmware

    1. Select SETUP.

    2. Navigate to the Advanced screen in the touchscreen display and select FIRMWARE.

    Using USB Key

    • From the Update Method screen, select USB KEY.

    • Insert the USB mass storage device into the USB port and select the checkmark to continue.

    • The firmware will begin installing.

    • When prompted, press and release the touchscreen display ON/OFF button, the screen will go black for a few moments, and then the display will restart. During the upgrade process, DO NOT turn the printer off using the power switch located on the side of the machine, this may damage your printer and void your warranty.

    Using Wi-Fi

    • After selecting Firmware, select WIFI.

The printer will attempt to connect to the server.

Note: If the printer can not connect to the server, select RETRY to connect to the server. Select CANCEL if you do not want to update the firmware.

The printer will check for a firmware update.

The printer will begin downloading new firmware. The blue bar is also a progress indicator. The download can take up to a few minutes.
WARNING: DO NOT POWER OFF OR DISCONNECT THE PRINTER FROM UTILITY POWER DURING THE UPDATE PROCESS.

Note: If no new firmware is available, select the checkmark to continue.

    • The firmware will begin to install.

Note: If the firmware update fails, select RETRY to attempt to install the firmware again. Select CANCEL if you do not want to update the firmware.

    • When prompted, press and release the touchscreen display ON/OFF button, the screen will go black for a few moments, and then the display will restart. During the upgrade process, DO NOT turn the printer off using the power switch located on the side of the machine, this may damage your printer and void your warranty.

What F/W was on the printer when you first booted the unit?

    Nice write up!

1.10. It does not even appear on the Changelog at 3Dsystems website lol This must be a VERY OLD stock found somewhere!

    Filament looks VERY new though.

(and I copypasted the Help window on the 3Dsystems software lol)

HAHAHA... got it. The datecode on the eBay images were 2015 on the cartridges.

    - - - - - - - - - -

Interesting... the latest F/W for CubePro is V2.02 as is the application.

3DS was pretty good about keeping the F/W changes updated in the log... but no entry for 2.01 and 2.02.ar.
Something is obviously different. I wonder what.
