I have not tried to change a chip to wood because the software would have to recognize the chip and CubePro doesn't. Does the chip read back what you told it to write?
edit; my bad - it does support wood... Let me see why this doesn't work.

Use command 10,5,25;[enter] for wood.

I tried resetting the chip 100% then doing the change to wood and it worked! I don't know why that would make a difference but it now reads perfect on my pro

Some things can get confused. Confirm max amount and make sure it matches CubePro. I've made some bad updates to the chip but they always recovered.

Hi All,
Thanks for a great thread TommyDee, could not have done this without this thread.
So after some head scratching I have figured out how to load the firmware onto the Nano . . . I think. I'll know tomorrow when I try to reload a chip.
One note the batch file named the flash file as : ReCubelight.ino.hex , just change the file name to the same as the file in Tomuro's file which is : ReCube.ino.hex and it seem to work after that.
Can anyone tell me what the : ReCube.ino.with_bootloader.hex file is for?
Cheers

Hello All,
Can some one please help, I have built my wand circuit and am able to reload my chip to 98% through Arduino IDE serial monitor with the command 8,99;<enter>.
But I would now like to change the colour to black and the and the amount. Would the command 5,2;8,99;<enter> achieve that? Both are ABS. I understand that it is not possible to change material type with the lite version but is it possible to change the colour?
Cheers,
RS

Color is also a Pro feature.

Cheers TommyDee, Would it really matter if I used an ABS orange chip with ABS black filament?

None whatsoever. You can even slice it using neon green ABS in CubePrint 4.03
