He's thinking that he needs to downgrade the firmware to process v1.87 files. What Tommy says means that the newer firmware is compatible with v2.02 files AND v1.87 files.

True current F/W is backward compatible for older software.

I used an encoder. I converted the bff file to cubepro but I couldn't open it with v1.87 cubepro slicer. the printer was also unable to identify the file.

Do you have the original file that this was generated from? The CubePro software is expecting a certain format. I am not sure why the printer is not recognizing it as I don't have a CubePro printer, but I do know that when I encode just the BFB for the Cube3, the printer works just fine.

Oh, interesting. Did you ask in the Simplify and Cube3 chat?

Hi Buddybu, I am new in this world. I don't have a strong technical background like you guys but reading all this post I can understand some things and other's not. At the moment I just have a question, The reason I am looking use Cura in my cube3 is because I want to print solidiest parts. is there any configuration could work for me to made solid parts?

    Welcome Asamudio!

Unfortunately, there isn't currently a way to use cura and the cube3, unless you convert it to a reprap printer.

Now what you are probably looking for is in the BFB portion of the file where you see these two lines:

    ^Density:Strong
    ^Patterniamond

    You could replace them with

    ^Density:Solid
    ^Pattern:Hex

Which should get you close to the Cura settings you are looking for.

To edit the BFB, just open the cube3editor with your file, and select the "View Raw BFB" button. This will open a simple editor with the BFB. The lines above will be at the top of the file. Now I don't know if this will change how the printer views the cube3, or if the Cube Print slicer updates the BFB when you change the settings for the print file from Strong to Solid.

I would suggest that you first use cube print to change your cube3 file from Strong to Solid and see if that gets what you want.
