Print Bed Levelling Issue

I have printed a few items with the rapide, however i print it in such a way that the extruder is scratching with the bed.

I used a level bar to make sure the base is 100 percent leveled, however when the extruder touch the bed it was not on the same level on each corner.

Anybody facing this issues too?(Sorry for my bad english)

You dont actually level a print bed like you do other things in life with a "level bar" What you have to do is use something as a feeler gauge(a sheet of paper works well) and have your nozzle just barley pinching the paper when you tell it to home the z-axis in each of the 4 corners.

Owing to the state of our beds not being entirely flat levelling at the corners is not always the best idea especially if you are going to be printing in the middle of the bed. If you check the level at approx 50-60mm in from each corner this will allow for any bowing at the edges and cover the area where most of your printing takes place.

Now that you mention "printing in the middle of the bed" is there any trick to force a print to "slice it" at one of the corners? I mean, most of the STLs are sliced by placing the item right in the middle of the bed and obviously the kapton gets damaged mostly on that area while the rest of the surface remains mint...

you can right-click the model and drag it around the bed to where you would like it

I know i can move it, problem is i slice with astroprint. i know they use cura, but i dont wanna halt the magic that is happening lately on my prints lol

I wonder if you could move it by changing the X,Y bed size in the printer definition? Say putting in 100mmx100mm, would that move the center closer to home position x 45mm in X & Y?

...as long as i dont have to print something bigger, i guess that could work hmmmm

You'd have to move your x & y end stops inwards otherwise it will home to the front/left corner as usual then calculate that the other end of your bed is now 100mm away in x & y direction from there, so effectively you would then only use the front/left corner of the bed.
