I'd be (at least somewhat) happy if I could see any results at all of my scanning. Using Horus, I've scanned umpteen objects and I have View > Scene turned on but I never see anything in that window. Neither in real time nor when the scan is finished. It apparently goes through the scan normally and tells me how to save the point cloud at the end. And if I load one of the point cloud files later, I still see nothing.

I'm sure I must be be missing something obvious .... but it isn't obvious to me.

A new scanner modeled off the BQ just launched on Kickstarter. It has all the same functionality but costs only $99. Also, to print the required parts it has half the print time (14 vs. 28 hours), a smaller print volume (115mm X 110mm x 65mm as opposed to the original 198mm x 160mm x 108mm) and 33% less filament. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...rce-3d-scanner

This is a Scanner right? It has a "shorter print time" and "uses less filament" ?

    Huh?

They are referring to the scanner parts you would need to print as opposed to the original BQ design.

Sorry, that was super unclear. Like milstream said, it refers the the scanner parts that you need to 3D print. Loading the parts on Cura, BQs take over 28 hours, while ours take about 14 to print. Also our print bed size requirements are 115mm X 110mm x 65mm as opposed to the original 198mm x 160mm x 108mm. Edited my main post to make things more clear.

No apology needed - I think it was me being super unintelligent (again).

    Calibration Failing

    Hi there,

I can't get my ciclop to scan. I am having trouble with the auto check and calibration.
I get these error messages. I am using horus software.

Auto check - Check Motor Direction and Pattern Position and try Again.
Calibration - Laser Calibration failed. Please try again.

I am using Ardruino Uno and Zum Scan Boards.
I will be thankful for your help.

    Regards,

    waqz36
