    Acrylic Adhesive Removal (?)

I purchased a build plate from eBay a while back and received 3 plates. Two are badly damaged but I want to make use of them by mounting LokBuild directly to a plate after sealing the magnets in place.

I was able to take the original surface off in 3 pieces. I wedged a sharpened scraper coming at it from the the edges. All the adhesive remained on the aluminum and the plastic is fully liberated from the plate.

Last time I did this was with Goof-Off. Nasty stuff. Has anyone else tried to remove acrylic adhesive that is a bit less toxic?

One thing I've heard is heat, like PLA temps... 200-205C. Not sure how you could generate that safely and cleanly...
