What voltage should i use with original extruder motors?
I Was doing a test print and the Motor was so hot it melted the pla printed extruder... It was running at 520mA

I think they are going to get mounted on the outside...

after looking into it it was the steps per mm (i have forgotten to calibrate the extruder had 420steps/mm, now 111.11steps/mm) it works as it should now.. have also dropped the vref to 300mA...

so, the extruder design is a bit loud but performs flawlessly, and costs only a few bolts and a spring... the customability of the firmware is also way beyond marlin(you tweak the firmware parameters in the web gui reboot duet and its done), and you upload the files via wifi to the machine (no more usb and sd), z offset calibrated bed leveled, it prints like a champ (for now PLA+ bed 50c nozzle 215c)

suggestion would be, forget marlin, go reprap....
specially for those of you considering to rebiuild your cube pros...

ill try some original d3s abs and some petg today, will also have to copile the toolchange macros for dual extrusion...

So some time passed, i have extensively tested both cubes...
Reprap(Duet3d) is the way to go... Everything regarding setup its done via wifi, no flashing needed... Im into rebuilding all my Machines to duet2 wifi Electronics...

hello, can you please share your configuration files for the CUBE-DUET version? I have a Duet 2 Wifi ,I would like to use instead of the Marlin board in the cube I am converting - thank you for posting your work.

I was wondering what the before and after circuit diagram look like. I remember you saying something about this liberating a fan (?). I'd prefer to make changes on the other end of the wire if possible.

Hello. I would like to set Marlin to move the active tool to park and wipe, then at tool change the second tool move to park, purge and wipe before continuing to print - just as Cube 3 did when dual printing, and no purge tower needed - does anyone has a modified version that do that? I do not know how to make those changes - please help
