CubePro And Simplify3d Working

I AM NOT AFFILIATED WITH Simplify3d IN ANY WAY! i AM JUST A USER OF THERE SOFTWARE!

I have 3 CubePro just getting into putting them to use.
2 x Trio
1 x Duo

All have v2.0 Factory firmware

I am using Simplify3d 4.1.2 just purchased, installed, Logged in, and setup through the configuration assistant.

All are set up with ABS

Printing is excellent at medium quality! Dimensional stability is incredible!
It is just so unfortunate that the 3DS slicer was so bad at infill and support structures.

Now I just need Simplify3d to help me out with setting up the CubePro Duo for NYLON and PVA!

I will be posting PICs of printed parts.

Keep an eye on my profile, as I will be posting pics of machines that I have used, from home built RERAP to Professional grade.
Hopefully I can get all this in wile thing are on lock down. You know normally the life rat race.

I would very much like to know how simplify3d works! Meaning I have no experience and I have a CubePro Duo. What is the level of effort required to get Simplify3D to print on the CubePro?

BTW: I can use the CubePro slicer but you are right, way to technical to do good aesthetic prints. Also seen some very weird slicing behaviors.

After setting up Simplify3d using the configuration assistant under help . I then loaded a model picked the profile checked the infill and perimeters used automatic support generation then customized some support areas. Clicked prepare to print saved the G Code file ( it outputs a BFB ). Ran that file through an encoder I have both codex and the fast one. Opened the file in CubePro v2.02 and wireless cent to printer.
I am going to investigate if Simplify3d over rides the material temps next.Simplify3d 1.JPG

Forgot I think I will have to hack the firmware before investigating the temp overrides.

Don't forget about optional chip resetters. More and more I hear of CubePro not doing well with the hack. The chamber fan is one culprit reported twice now. The method is suspect in copying files only to disrupt the operation. Are you comfortable making DIY stuff with a soldering iron and some code?

It appears that S3D has a pretty good profile for CubePro. Can you post the output of one of your print files so I can take a look at it? You've peeked my interest!

I see, lower left of a new post is 'go advanced' and below the text window is 'manage attachments'. It is a bit finicky about what file types it will except. I mostly host things on Google drive.

Nice hinge indeed. Is that ABS?

Thanks yes the hing is ABS.

This is the BFB file for the hinge link had to strip out most of the g code in the middle do to upload size restrictions

Sweet, thank you. The slicer is indeed dealing with basic functions in a way familiar to me. This makes S3D more attractive to me.

I have used Simplify3d with a LuzBot Mini at work for 3 years I can say you will not be disappointed with the control that can be had with it.

I've been on the fence only because no one ever explained what was going on with regard to Cubify printers. CubePro is a more generic platform than Cube3. But now that I have a CubePro, and I agree that CubePro slicers suck for the most part, this might be a good way to go. Cube3 does weird things with nozzle bias temps. Not sure how S3D could manage that without some serious post-processing.
