I havent investigated it a lot but... is it RUMBA based? Otherwise you'll have to fine fine tune the firmware you upload to it...

I assume it does have an own firmware apparently it should be easy to install though. I have ordered a rumba as well. Since I am thinking about creating an own 3D Printer with larger dimensions
    Ill give a heads up

Yes own firmware for sure, but the hardware is already deployed, be sure you match all the right values and connectors (kind of nightmareish hehe)

    Hi all,
I emailed with Ethan and he said that this was a software issue. He refused to send me a new board even though I offered to pay, referring to that it would not solve my software problem.

@bolsoncerrado; How hard was it too change the board and is it worth it? Is it true that it is a software problem and if so is this both Mac and PC? I have tried on both, no usb communication, and it seems unlikely that it should be a faulty driver or something on both systems.

Are your TX/RX leds lighting up at all?

If they're dead all the time, chances are your board is faulty.

BUt did you check first all possible errors? ie: change USB cable, change usb port, connect the USB cable straight to the board instead of the back connector, try different OS version, try different OS, try different computer, try printing straight with SD card instead of USB?

Board swap is not complicated, just takes time.

My TX/RX are not lighting up.

I measured my cables they are fine. I printed from sd card it works.

So this is not a software problem then?

If you've tried ALL the alternatives pictured above, then yes, probably your board is faulty. Where in the world are you located?

    I am in Stockholm, Sweden.

I am going to Shanghai with work for two weeks and suggested to Ethan that he could send a new bord to my Hotel, he refused my suggestion even though I offered to pay for it. Still claiming it was a software error. I then sent him the fix from Rumba Wiki, which does not work on our boards, even though the pins are there (not connected?) I do not get him at all. He even said that I could destroy the printer if I am not happy with it. He must be having a nervous breakdown or something! So with the chinese new year and everything I guess we are on our own. I did not have time yesterday to explore the Rumba fix more, has anyone tried it? According to some forums I skimmed through it is now fixed on the newer Rumba boards with a firmware upgrade.

I do symphetize with his stress levels though. It must be super frustrating being without technical staff and forced to handle support by himself. Especially since he clearly does not know what he is talking about. He is a nice guy though and hopefully he finds a solution to the support issue.
