Board Swapping

Thought it might be interesting to have a Thread for the People that would want to change their Board that is in the Rapide Lite.

Feel free to post Pictures, Setups, Configs etc here on this Thread. We can help each others to solve certain issues and/or improve certain things.

I see that Geektech has produced a new Board named "MegaBoard" (I know a veeery subtle name)

It uses the Atmega16u2 for USB Control. I'm uncertain though if it uses the RAMP compatible Firmware. Seems to support Dual Extruders natively.
What do you think? Would you advise using the RUMBA or the MegaBoard

Both should be fine, as long as AT16u2 is updated to the last version

Thanks Just wondering which one of both was the later Design maybe evading the Issues with USB Connections. Otherwise I'd just get a Rumba Board, use that until I get my Smoothieboard

Yeah that was my idea... Smoothie or whatever Ethan comes up with... In the end it's a matter of controlling a few motors and such...
