I use UP!Plus 2, and I like it. It is much cheaper than Cube 3, so it looks a little worse, but at least its functions are enough for my work.

Hallo! I got new out of ox Cube Pro 3, but i cannot activate it, it ask me 4 digit code for activation. Unfortunately home page where i can get this code is no more active, I send support request to 3DS but unfortunately don't get any feedback from them .. any ideas how get this code?

Even when the original activation page was active it gave me a PIN number that did not work, I contacted 3D systems and they gave me 7159 If your lucky this may be a master PIN, if not try all their help contacts, the first one I tried I never got a reply then found a different one and they replied.
If not buy a second hand board that has already been activated (Make sure it comes with the SD Card as this contains the activation data).
Note: You can no longer get filament for these machines so you will have to mod it to make it work, if you received filament with the printer it will likely be PLA and old/brittle and not usable.

One could try the last 4 digits of the printer's serial number.

Ok, after long waiting without ansver from 3DS i was make phone call to them.. after phonecall in next day I get email from them with activation code. So if you need this code my experience say that you need make support ticket in their website, and after that make phone call to them.

Check to make sure the serial number on the bottom of the cube matches the box it came in.

My kids will mostly be using it for small projects that they design in Tinkercad, so an oringinal board with hacked firmware would be ideal.

Also consider the 'recharge' option with ReCube if you want to show off your sparky skills to your kids;
