I intend this to be a bowden setup with the stepper motors mounted on top of the frame like Clayton has done. The hot extruders will be similar to what LoefflerG has shown here http://www.print3dforum.com/showthre...ide-Lite/page6

If you could mount one each side of the wing you would not lose printing width on your smallest dimension (X) but you would lose some on your now longer bed in the Y direction. Of course it may be more trouble than the way you've currently chosen.

I have overcome the X issue by increasing my x travel to 260mm. With 30mm between nozzles I can cover the 200mm bed with each nozzle.

Man havent you seriously considered running a crowdfunded project for this kind of printer? it aint that hard!
