Multi color printing

Hi Bob,

I have choosen the E3D V6 because I wanted to have high temp, and it is easier for the bracket to have the same dimensions on all hot ends.
But It was not a good choice it seems.
I haven't choose the lite version because of the max temp.

If I succeed to do all I want, we will have a 4 colors hot end, and 2 high temp hot end.
For the last step, I am not sure of the wiring (the 6th extruder), I am waiting the small relay board to test it. (I wish i will not burn my board)

With the relay system we could have 6 extruders max and 6 nozzles max but we loose a lot of printing surface.
It is for that it will be better and cheaper to have 3 nozzles instead of 6.

The Rova printer brings some interesting ideas on how to place motors and such for those of us ordering the Diamond extruder... hmmmm

And for multicolor printing, why would you need more than 250º? Higher temps are often for exotic materials like Carbon and such right?

I print XT copolyester (which is food contact, without bisphenol A...), at small speed 20-40 mm/s at 243-247° but I can't increase a lot the speed because I would have to increase the temp.
And I thought, if I add hot ends, the better is to have high temp.

The Rova printer confirm me that I choose the right place for the motors.

I miss only the MK8 gears drive.
I have installed the bracket for the 5-6 extruders
I have printed the bracket for the 5-6 spools
I will modify the bowden extruder as soon I receive The MK8 gears drive

you have to install the heatsink, the thermistor, the extruders, the new bracket nozzle, to modify the firmware...

Did you get it installed yet? Mine arrived the other day - would love some observations, the firmware... and any files you had to print.
