Help setting up Cube 3d printer

A few days ago we got a Cubify Cube 3D printer as a donation, and ever since we've been trying to find the right software to make it work, but with no luck.
Every link I found for downloads is dead, or the file is currupted...
if anyone can help finding these files, or any tips on setting up the printer, or if there are any hacks for the fillament or other useful things to know. Finding any information about this printer is hard.
    Thank you.

You came to the right place Thi35 - we are working on restoring original files.

There are several hacks including converting the Ekocycle to Cube3.

Here is the core file set you need for the Ekocycle - GoogleDriveZipFile

    - - - - - - - - - -

If you are handy with Arduino, you could make a chip resetter. You can buy a chip resetter, and you can hack the firmware if you as our own buddybu nicely. JohnTee is our resident expert in converting the printer from Ekocycle to Cube3 and back. Know you need cartridge chips to match the printer type. Personally, I am biased for the Cube3 and a chip resetting tool. ReCube can initialize cartridges that the hack requires. Ironic huh LOL. Settle in - you got some research to do - Building Tomuro's Circuit

If you find me on thingiverse, you'll get a lot of printable hacks there too - search Thingiverse for Qube3Bot and it will show you my designs, one of them being universal hub parts.

Thanks a lot, you are a life saver!
Just one more question, the model I have is the Cube (original or 2nd gen, not sure), but every file or slicer I found outputs .cube3, .cubepro or .cubex, even the one you included in the files

Crumb! I got a couple of posts mixed up. The app is correct for both printers. Let me find your F/W...

    v1.14B Cube3 HERE

and now you got me... I'll have to see what I can find for the Cube...
Next... [making a collection at your expense, sorry]

Cube and a Cube 2 manual found. A HEX file [?] and an app zipped up.
    HERE

Not sure if I'm missing something, but the app only outputs in .cube3, for both availible models: "Cube" and "Ekocycle", which is not even reconized by the printer, and simply renaming the file doesn't work

Look in the last zip file. I know nothing about Cube2 but you should be able to identify it and the manuals should tell how to set things up.

Oh, boy another Cube2! Mine is now a franken-cube -- I replaced the mainboard with a BigTreeTech SKR v1.4, and it has been great, but I had to do it because the mainboard in the Cube2 was dead. I think for you, TommyDee has provided the Cube2 software. I think the printer takes creation files, but I cannot be certain. The HEX file that Tom provided is an uncompressed firmware file.

    Thanks a lot you guys!
I finally managed to set it up properly. I even managed to get it to work with another slicer (since the original gives almost no control, and feels like a kids' software). And after fixing a hardware issue (fillament getting stuck, the gears were too tight). Anf adding to this the filament trick, I think it's all set up! Our stundent lab will make sure to push it to its limits!

As for replacing the motherboard, it was actually one of the first things we considered, but since it's working, at least for now, it will have to be a project for the future, maybe if we encounter another problem.

What slicer did you end up using?

Kisslicer to output in bfb, then I encode it to .cube using CodeX
