What can be the causes of a bad print?

Hey guys,

Recently I got a cube3 printer and I printed already some things with it. However sometimes the prints aren't as good as I want them. The printer leaves these dots on my print and it also doesn't fill it entirely. I have a picture attached that shows the 'failed' print.

Welcome to the forum Dreez. For what it is worth, that is a pretty good result.
The shortcoming are from the slicer and the bowden tube style of printer.
These printers and their default software do show their age.

People have pushed these printers beyond their capability yet universal slicers hasn't been cracked yet.

So if I change the bowden tube style my prints will slightly get better?

There are two styles; Bowden and Direct. We're stuck with Bowden. CubePro is an example of direct drive at the hot end.

He could try slicing with S3D or Cura and "translate" to Cube3 with the tools in this forum maybe :?

I'd love to see what that could do ;] I did that with Cura once and I didn't like the process or result much.
