New Fan duct - PRO version

The story of this fan duct is very funny.

I wanted to redesign the original fan, because I thought a fan with a disc form could be better (in order to ventil on all directions at the same time, our fan ventil only on one side).

So I tried to draw a disc but without the small holes, With only one big peripheral hole.

And I was looking for things to print on thingiverse and find this one :
    http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:793310

So,i have downloaded it and modify it on sketchup, try different size...

I have cut the original, add an extremity and design a connection with our fan to easily change it.

I have change my heater block and it has not the same size as the original, it size is 20 x 20 x 10 mm
It is for this I used a large one, but with the original block heater you can use it smaller

With the connection you can easily center the brass nozzle at the center of the fan, because it is not aligned
I don't remember, but i think you must print the connection at scale about 1.01, otherwise you will have to strengh to put in it.

I put this on the file :

I am working on multicolor printing with bowden, so I am working too on a new circular fan nozzle

Yes; I have that ventilation circle in my toprint list as well. Seems its what the PROs use on their printers too Good job finding it

The part I dont get is... we need to cut our current air nozzle and apply the adapter on one side and the new circular nozzle on the other? and glue them?

    Hi Bolson,

Yes, you need to cut out the conduct of your current air nozzle, insert the adapter and the new circular nozzle.

I don't have glue the circular nozzle because the brass nozzle, the conduct and the center of the fan, is not aligned.
So I can adjust it, but you can glue it and adjust it.
I am working on multicolor too, so I will have to design a new one for the new system, so I don't finished completly this one, sorry

I printed one but it was too tight, so i printed again between 1.01, 1.05, or 1.1, sorry i don't remember
or you can file the interior if you have the tools

The best would be to print a little part of the conduct to verify before cuting the used conduct

I am doing the modifications, after I will post it, I can't print it for the moment

I have reduce by 25 % the side in order to not be too wide
