Condensed "How To" Guide

I have a CubePro Trio with 6 ABS Cartridges I inherited from work. Ive read through most of the posts now but it seems that the method for getting this thing to work has changed over the last couple years and links have been broken and redirected in later posts etc. Is there a condensed version of how to get this from [runs on 2.02 with 3DS cartridges only] to [runs on v#.# (2.0 currently?) and aftermarket ABS or PLA filament spools]. If not, Id love to write one, I just havent gotten this thing working yet.

First thing to learn about is ReCube. CubePro with the hack is not always reliable. There have been chamber heater problems on a couple of units. Sketchy way to install firmware in my book.

Does the recube essentially just allow you to refill/reprogram your cartridges (to use aftermarket filament) but stay on v2.02? Or is downgrading to the modded 2.0 still necessary?

ReCube recharges your cartridges. This makes it completely independent of the printer's F/W level.

ReCube also has a pro level at a premium that can also change additional information on the chip such as material type or machine type.

I like that path better. Jailbreaking the firmware seems risky. I dont suppose you or Tomuro have those available to purchase do you? Or trade for one of these sweet cartridges.
