    HI,

Sorry, for the bed carriage - I added two aluminum angles pieces to extend the carriage length.

I used a M3 Tap, to make a threaded hole in the the new aluminum extension arms so that I could mount the bed bolts. There was too much play in the bolt - and I suspect the bed will wobble under sudden quick directional changes.

My solution is to mount the bolt from below - through an untapped hole - with a lock nut providing for a rock-solid connection from the carriage extension arm to the bed. This will have the spring on it. It will go through the heated bed and be fastened with wingnuts for adjusting bed height.

This eliminates the slop - ie. no more movement from bolts that are not seated properly.

To test: Hold onto your bed carriage plate and try to move your bed - you'll find the play in the bolts if yours is anything like mine was.

I will have images in the next day or so of all of this as I change it over to the new bed mounts.

Pukka stuff!!! That's a really nice job, thanks for sharing it.

NB. Technically yours is a proper Rapide Lite 200 XL, theirs is an XH.

BTW @clayton you say "o 2 x 8mm by 400MM Linear rail (ebay: $20)" but you're not using linear rails right? just longer rods!? any1 else tried this bed extension?
