I have been using 'Tinkercad' for designing objects but it is rather limited. Trying to learn 'Fusion 360' which is really complex. Any tips for a really flexible CAD design program?

I got an included license for 3D Systems Invent. It is a true parametric modeler and it doesn't cost an insane amount of money, under $100 is my best guess.
30 day trial and you can get more info from 3DS.
