CR 10 bed not heating.

I checked the cables connecting the control box to the bed with a multimeter and they're fine. If I move the control box around the heating sometimes turns on again. I checked the voltage coming out of the MOSFET and its only 8 volts, is this normal?

If it's an original CR-10/CR-10S, take the connector for the hot end and measure the resistance across pins 3 and 4 (thermistor). You should get somewhere in the region of 100K ohms, higher for a lower temperature and lower for a higher temperature. Look up an output table for a 100K thermistor but I suspect you have a short.

I see the voltage spec coming out of the MOSFET and its only 8 volts, which doesn't seem normal. You should have your circuit checked again.
