    Introducing.... BLTouch - Autoleveling Sensor for 3D Printers

    BLTouch is an auto leveling sensor for 3D Printers based on open-source. It could work with any kinds of bed materials, such as glasses, woods, metals, and so on.

    BLTouch is noiseless on the standby phase. Moreover, BLTouch makes even a small click sound instead of the Servo Motors’ irritating loud noise while the push pin is moving. You can see that in the video. Compared to most of the Servo Motors, BLTouch is free from frequent breakdown.

    Exterior of BLTouch could be changed in order to improve efficiency.

    There aren't any need for solenoid driver an BLTouch.
    BLTouch could be used in most of 3D Printers without firmware updating.


    Self-test : The push pin operates itself three times to test when the power is on.
    Alarm : The LED light blinks if a problem found on a self-test or on an operation.
    >> The machine could be disassembled by Allen wrench, and most of the problem would be solved with just wiping the push pin.

    BLTouch consists of Atmel ATtiny13A, solenoid, and a push pin.
    High-precision Type Sensor : Using Hall Effect
    ➡ Not optical, either proximity(inductive or capacitive) one.

    BLTouch uses the same servo signal which used in previous servo line.

    ■ Solenoid Push-pin Up ➡ servo signal 90Degree(ex : M280 P0 S90 ) ← PWM
    or digitalWrite(ControlPin, HIGH) ← Digital I/O
    ■ Solenoid Push-pin Down ➡ servo signal 0 to 80Degree(ex : M280 P0 S10 )
    or ➡ servo signal 100 to 180Degree
    or digitalWrite(ControlPin, LOW)

    BLTouch can be operated in the following condition.
    - One PWM or One Digital I/O for control
    - One I/O for Zmin
    - GND and +5V power
    However, Firmware updating might be needed on a case.
    Thus, BLTouch could be used in almost all boards.

    Ultra Power Saving : Current flow of the solenoid on idle state is just below 15mA on average, and around 800mA while the pin moving in sudden about 0.1 second. Low power consumption even further drops joule heating, making the machine actually safe from heat problem.

    1. How long will it take for shipping?
    Once a shipping confirmation is sent, you would receive your package in 5-20 business days.

    International shipping is $5 USD. Fees will be added when you select your shipping destination in the pledge.

    3. When will I receive my BLTouch?
    Backer's BLTouchs will be shipped by October 15th to November 30th, 2015.

    5. What do I need to connect BLTouch with a 3D Printer?
    You can connect BLTouch with an existing servo motor connector(3 pin) and Zmin connector(2 pin).
    If your 3D Printer does not have the auto leveling function, then you should have it updated, and add the two connectors which is enclosed.
    Rarely, some 3D Printers having the auto leveling function need that process too.
    Soldering and firmware updating might be needed in the seldom case.
    6. Do I need additional power supply for the BLTouch?
    Additional power supply is not required to use the BLTouch. Connector serves the power enough.
    7. Do you have any patents?
    We have several patents and some are on patent pending.
    And we have already completed the patent application for this project.
