What is the update on this? Are we going to go for legal action?

I filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission last Thursday naming Indigogo for breach of agreement and Ethan Hunt for misleading and deceptive conduct. It wasn't difficult and there's an online form to fill out but the section where you write the specific details is quite limited in space so you need to be as concise as possible. Hopefully if there's any interest the FTC will request further details.
I doubt if my one voice will be enough so I encourage everyone to do the same and do it immediately so the FTC system notices it. The more people who complain the harder it will be for the FTC to dismiss it.

I wish I 'd be a US citizen in cases like this... seems laws are stronger there, although EU citizenship shouldnt be less, but CC companies reaction made me feel "alone", actually.

I'm not a US citizen and it doesn't seem a complete barrier to making a complaint. The FTC at least understand that business is global and that non US citizens can be affected by US companies.
Here's the portal for making a complaint that I used:
https://www.ftc.gov/faq/consumer-pro...-complaint-ftc
If enough complaints come from around the world, including from US citizens, then Indigogo and Hunt will be on the FTC radar, and if the FTC believe the matter has enough public importance they can, of their own accord, initiate legal action against those business'.

I must admit I'm guilty of being one of the guys who’snot always as quick off the blocks as I could be; but I've finally got myfinger out and filled in the FTC form too! Most impressively though is that Imanaged to use ALL the available characters in the last section where you getto have your say– yup – 0 characters remaining; I had a GOOD rant! Hunt,Indiegogo and even P.P got a serve! But it’s like Lapidary Artist said it needsmore people to complain, just go onto the website, fill in the information youdo have (you can leave boxes un-filled if you don’t know or aren’t sure) then;and I think personally this is the most important bit, just tell your trueaccount of what has gone on in the box at the end.
You’ll feel better for it, trust me.

I'm still a bit sceptical as the image header is:

and we're not "American consumers"... at least not me, but we'll see if it makes a difference.

BTW since IGG is not an "online storefront" how did you set the complaint? As an online purchase? or online fraud?
