    Replacement PFTE Source, Specs?

    Hi All,

Has been a while! I finally burned the teflon insert in my hotend out, printing Nylon (badly).

While it's not urgent because I'm about to fit my Diamond nozzle, does anyone have a link to replacement tubing that will fit in the stock hotend?

If not, the specs? All I have is a burnt mess, so I can't really figure out what goes in there...

    Thanks!

    Clayton

So, can I use just a piece from the filament guide line? Is that PFTE?

    Thanks!

That's PFTE but the wrong diameter.

You'd need this one I think.

I tried that product (not teflon) from Amazon and found it pretty difficult to insert it in the heat break. The OD is slightly to big. I did manage to get it installed but went ahead and ordered this from ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/221308619542

I found the teflon product showed must less resistance, and easier to install. I actually cut a piece longer than needed ( you need 25mm) and put a piece of filament inside then chucked it in my cordless drill. A little bit of light oil and spinning it slow it went right in to the bottom. I then just trimmed it off slightly longer than the end of the heat break.

You're right, amazon's not PFTE but PFA, my bad!

THIS would be the correct amazon link:

It is true that I admit that teflon products show less resistance and are much easier to install than others. Furthermore, the fact that you cut a length longer than 25mm also seems to make things easier. Heat break time is also significantly improved.
