I have 4 Ender 3's, one I'[m building up with an EnderExtender kit. Also been printing for 2 years and the last 6 months have been frustrating.
I have had on the 3 original printers, a problem that I'm not able to figure out. They collide so hard as to shove the bed from it's clips, sometimes even landing it on the floor.
On the the printers (Lest call it P2) I've installed a DualZ on it. I thought that perhaps the gantry was bowing. This has not been of help.
I use Cura and the problem doesn't seem to be related to either version of even the application of Zhop.
I'm currently trying to print a 100mm tall snowman. 20cm into it and she's popped the clips. This same machine, printing a tall thin cylinder (15mmX180mm) didn't have any problems.
All 3 machines are doing this. All 3 in various states of being brought to a uniform upgrade.
Would be nice to find some solutions to try so I can get some more prints for a bazaar in a week.
Anything would be helpful.
Is there some artifact in the Z-height in the sliced file? Somehow is the head moving to interfere with the print is where I am going with this. I've also had buggers build up and knock over prints. That is not highly repeatable though.
Repeatable problems are much easier to deal with. Once had a Minion that would stop 1/2 way every time at the very same place. The nozzle would just clog due to a specific pattern, repeatably. Changed the infill pattern and no more issues. Go figure.
