But send me anyway the drawing and I will use the same 'raw' materials. Maybe we can combine both ideas. I will send you a private message.
I've managed to find a way to export my 123D files as a sat file, so if you PM me your email address I can email it across to you.
Hopefully you can import this into Sketchup and not have to re-create it from scratch, although all of the colours have disappeared all of the parts appear intact.
I have already modified the design slightly since my first posting. I have moved the Z motors more directly over the frame where previously they were extending out over the edge. I have also removed two 20x20 uprights which should help to keep the cost down slightly.

Well no need to make this a crowdfunding project but a "run" here in the forums and FB group.... I'm sure most of us will jump aboard.... Count me in!

Here is short video a 'new' Bowden extruder that does not use a toothed wheel to feed the filament.
Could be a contender for the Bowden version of my Max 3D printer

That's great! I encourage everyone to build a 3D printer who is interested. The learning experience and push to evolve 3D printers to the next level is very rewarding. I'm perusing it as well. Maybe by the beginning of next year I'll be ready with my first prototypes.
