    Max 3D Printer

Can't trust others to deliver me a printer so looking to design & build my own using V-Slot rails and carriages.
All axis are direct drive (no belts). X carriage sits directly above the rail so weight of the motor does not pull the print head down (E3D V6) like on the RL200.
    Print area Est. 450(x)x350(y)x250(z)

    Motors are Purple.
    Carriages are Red.
    3D Printed parts are Green.
    Brackets are Light Blue
ACME Anti-Backlash Nut Blocks are Orange.
    Still a work in progress.

Interested to hear you views, suggestions.

I am tempted to build one as well.
After Rapide 200 I've tested the delta layout, the E3Dv6 with bowden remote extruder, Arduino Mega with Ramps 1.4, V sliders.
I know now what I would like as a high performing printer and it is very similar to your design.

Are you thinking of building a delta style printer with the V-Slot?
They do make a linear rail add on with matching V wheels or for certain slides as an alternative to the carriages I'm currently using.
I'm more than happy to help/collaborate with you if you'd like. To be honest I was going to ask you if you wouldn't mind helping me with the electronics on mine

I already have a delta, I want to build a squared one similar to your drawing.

Do you have/use Autodesk 123D Design? I'm more than happy to send you a copy of my drawing for you to examine/amend/comment on.

    Unfortunately I use Sketchup.
I tried everything else, 123D inclusive, but I am 'least bad' with Sketchup, maybe because I am using it since 2005 (10 years gone, oh I'm feeling old).

But send me anyway the drawing and I will use the same 'raw' materials. Maybe we can combine both ideas. I will send you a private message.
