    Hi everybody,

My name is Juan Antonio and I discovered this forum searching information about using different filament on my Cube 3

I'm in the process of modifing my PLA cartrige but I have some dudes:

Is the cubetoolbox program of this post generating the new firmware with the v1.1 release?

I'm interested in this option: - Removed MaterialCode verification (e.g. Print ABS files with PLA Cartridge) (Cube 3 only)

Is working this option on the cube 3 printer ?

I have read some post of people having troubles with this option but I don't know is they were using cube 3 printer or another model.

Thank you very much for your attention and sorry for my bad english.

v1.0 is the only stable release. The others have issues.

If I upgrade firmware to version 1.0 I still need different chips to print ABS and PLA.
    It's correct?

I need a specific percentage of use in the cartridge chip?

100% or 2% because I have a new cartridge but the filament is old and wet

Anything from 0% to 99% should be ok.
    100% is not "recognized"

It would be wonderful if the links in this thread actually worked. They send you to a spamware site. It would be great if bolsoncerrado would post real stuff!

    It is real stuff!

Bo, I just checked the link and they have added additional popups that weren't there before. It tries to make you think your computer is infected and prompts you to download software that is most likely infected with malware.

Ha, I just checked it again and it also has pop-unders (popups that hide). The only reason I know of for pop-unders is to open a malicious web site that can infect your computer without you knowing. I am a computer technician who also does security stuff. It looks like this host has gotten pretty shady and / or doesn't screen their advertisers.

I'll be thoroughly scanning my computer.
