Perhaps .ar files are compressed files and are files that have been unzipped into sd memory. We need to get and replace the lower version of * .bin files in SD.
And should you reinstall cracked 2.0FW?

The .ar file is the compiled firmware. This is what is burned to the motherboard chip. In Cube3, they rename whatever the version name is to Magellan.ar. From there, there must be an OS process somewhere that has the ability to take the version filename; convert it to the "common" name (Magellan.ar); and manage the FW upload from the internal SSD; confirm its installation; and write the version file (.xml) for the app.

If I understood, vampi copied the 2.0 fw onto a thumb drive renamed as 2.02. Then initiated the fw update.

No luck there, I'm afraid. I tried renaming it as 2.02, and also as 3.0. Unsuccessful in both cases.

    Step x Step Instructions

If I'm interpreting this thread correctly, you are trying to down grade cubepro V2.02.ar to cubepro V2.00.ar. If I am correct with my assumptions, Here are the steps that worked successfully on the Cube 3.
The steps should work on the CubePro unless 3DS modified the update routine to abort the update instead pause it. If you try please post your results for others to be informed.
    1. Put your SD card back where it was. ie on the motherboard.
    2. Download the following: http://cubify.s3.amazonaws.com/Printers/Cubepro/cubepro V2.00.ar http://cubify.s3.amazonaws.com/Printers/Cubepro/cubepro V2.02.ar
    3. Verify the current version of Firmware installed on your CubePro assuming it's V2.02 because you are attempting to down grade the firmware.
    4. Grab two Thumb drives, copy cubepro V2.00.ar to Thumb drive 1 and cubepro V2.02.ar to Thumb drive 2
    5. On Thumb 1 rename "cubepro V2.00.ar" to "cubepro V2.02.ar"
    6. Insert Thumb drive 2 with the original V2.02 and update the Firmware completely.
    7. Leave the Thumb drive 2 in place.
    8. Update the firmware again, only this time pull out Thumb drive 2 when about 4 to 5% of the update is completed.
    9. The update routine should pause.
    10. Insert Thumb drive 1 with the renamed V2.02 11. Press "retry" the Update will restart. If successful it will complete.
    12.Remove Thumb drive 1.
    13.Verify the Firmware version. It should be V2.00. Good Luck, G70 - - - - - - - - - -

    11. La actualización se reiniciará. Si tiene éxito se completará.
    12. Retire la unidad de pulgar 1.
    13. Verifique la versión del firmware. Debe ser v 2.00.

    Buena suerte, G70

I got it with JackMeoffd's advice.

    1. I copied FW2.02 to USB.
    2. I have run FW update from CubePro.
    3. At 4.5% I removed the USB.
    4. I deleted FW2.02 from USB and copied FW2.00 (http://cubify.s3.amazonaws.com/Printers/Cubepro/cubepro V2.00.ar).
    5. Rename cubepro V2.00.ar to cubepro V2.02.ar.
    6. Insert USB again from CubePro and select Retry.
    7. The FW was 2.00.
    8. Reinstall FW 2.00.
