You CANNOT open a .cube3 file that has been encoded with cube3_encoder in Cube Print software. You have to put it on a flash drive and print directly from the printer.

Bo, any chance you can get rid of the minimum 10 character requirement? It's very annoying and I don't see the point.

oooook! new issue: using the file I compiled, I tried loading it on TWO Cubes (one at a time, just to discard motor malfunction on the first) and both start printing, but the motor is simply not moving, at all. Also if I remove the HUB while printing, I can freely move the motor shaft, aka it's NOT being charged electronically. What THE F!!!(($/%/%(/$ ?!?!

Head and bed move fine tho.

Not sure if this would be it, but check the square motor shaft. Are the corners rounded?

    MotorShaft.JPG

This is what happened to mine about 3 days ago. I was trying to do a dual color print in PETG and after swapping materials about 22 layers, it jammed the left print head. Normally it would just strip the filament in the extruder, but in this case, it rounded the corners of the motor shaft. I think it's because the PETG is a tougher material. I suspect it was already getting rounded from normal use and this was just the last straw. At this point it would spin, but not turn the extruder at all. I noticed that the rounding is only from the middle to the end. The base of the shaft is still square.

There is a gap in my hub between the extruder and the motor.

    BadGap.JPG

I based this design on an old cartridge that also had this same gap. I looked at a newer cartridge and the gap is not there. Apparently they found this was a problem and fixed it in later designs.

I modified my design so there is no gap.

    NoGap.JPG

Now I can print again with that same left extruder since it is on the shaft further and hitting the square part of the shaft.

I found the exact replacement motor and ordered it from here: https://ultimate3dprintingstore.com/...7pm-k374bn01cn

Not bad for $10.95. It should be here tomorrow and I will let you know how well it works after I get it installed.

I updated the download link for my v2 hub.

No worries, Don... mine is flush with the round raised surface.
The pin can only go so far into the drive gear.
    I won't say more.

I already tested it with the clamp installed and the gap went away. You can see that I already retracted my previous statement before you replied.
