I had a look through my profiles and I have highly modified the one that I used the prime towers on. When I get some free time in the next few days I'll get it worked up. I also need to get my second hub made so I can test it.

There's a few reasons why I made my profiles do what the cubePrint does. Mainly, when you switch from one colour to the next one, your first extruder is still hot. It's been commanded to cool down to something around 160c, but until it gets down to that temp there's going to be filament oozing out, and if you don't deal with it, then it could end up on your print. The cube3 actually does it in a decent way, sure it's time consuming, but the same general process is used for any multi-extruder printer. The cube parks the hot nozzle at it's bin so that the ooze can hopefully drop down there while it's cooling down. then it travels to the other side and heats up the next extruder. when hot it purges the nozzle then starts printing with that colour.

A prime tower isn't really going to save any time now that I think about it, it's the cooling down, and heating up that takes time. There may be tweaks I could do to make some things happen faster.

Has anyone tried PETG on the Cube 3? I just got some to print on my Prusa and this stuff is great. Prints almost as easy as PLA and is stronger than ABS. It also doesn't curl or split like ABS and you don't need rafts.

I'm not sure whether to try it with a 3rd party slicer or do it with Cube Print and use Mythandar's tool to change the temps. Any thoughts?

    230 - 250 c. 240 seems to be about the best.

Wait, isn't ABS at the bottom of that spec?
I'm running PLA now and the extruder temp is 231*C...

Blessings again to M.! All praise M.!

    ABS is around 220 - 260. I think closer to 260.

Set to PLA with both 1st layer and 2nd & higher at 240.
The top is a little shabby but the rest looks great!

    Thanks Mythandar!!

Looks great! I guess the upper layers are just a matter of finetuning the code, since it looks like it's a gradual "mess".... middle layers are just perfect!
