I've compared the differences between the PLA and FLX profiles in build_config_cube_3.xml to try and make a setup for printing TPU. For a starting point anyway. Comparing those build profiles to the bfb has been educational to some degree. I haven't been able to find out any details about QuickLayers. I am assuming these might be layers that print faster than the min layer time. I haven't figured out what these parameter mean, #QuickLayer P72.87 O50.00 D0. But I know Quicklayers use different settings for retract, prime, speed, than normal layers.
I might slice this in cura to get the movements for spiral, then just insert everything else manually.
If you watch some prints near the end, it never stops at the end of a layer. It just prints 3-4 layers continuously. This is what I am assuming quick layers do. At least, that's the best I could come up with. Curious to see what you come up with.
Edit: dumb question - is there a way to change these values in memory before they are applied to the next operation?
Someone did one of those but I am not a fan. It is a fairly straight forward operation. Not sensing when you reached the tip with fresh filament is the only drawback. That is why I drive the filament manually with a small power driver with a #2 square tip. Getting good at this technique also allows you to easily change filament mid-print.
Thanks! I agree about manually pushing the new filament back in. I was thinking about automating only the retraction part. Being lazy and forgetful, it might keep me from having to pay attention to the heat up time and doing the pull-out by hand... I will look around.
Withdrawing the filament can be a problem with the bulb coming out of the nozzle being bigger than the tube being drawn through. I normally clip the filament at the cartridge and pull it through when I change carts.

I'm not sure what you mean by before they are applied to the next operation. Since they are M227 & M228 codes, they are captured by the Cube3Editor.
