3D Systems Sense Scanner Experience here on the board?
I need to do some high resolution scanning on small objects.
Any input on the 3D Systems Sense V1 scanner?

The handheld one looking like a kinnect? I do have one....pretty "crappy" if you ask me.

I got the V2,it does have trouble trying to scan really small objects and it does often loose tracking.
On bigger objects it works pretty good.

I need the best resolution I can get for small objects.
Right now I am looking at this:

...claiming 100um resolution.

I'm on a timeline.

Interesting... Rubicon RB-Rub-01 is discontinued according to the manufacturer.
They are working on a new version that looks more like the Eora.

You're right, bo. Good find. That Eora will do and may be in time. And I'll have to buy the phone too.

Somewhere in the next 35 days.
Sounds like they did some really nice coding in the meantime.

35 days? Why? Do you know anyone at the team?

They put a May '17 on the campaign.
Things have been quiet since March.
And I am not receiving replies from Aora.
I'll back it if they can tell me it is a go for May '17.
In July, I won't need it.

Now isn't that a fine kettle...
I get a Robotshop notification that the Rubicon scanner is now in stock...
And I have an email from the maker saying it is discontinued.
This belongs in the saga thread instead

Alright, waiting for Eora to get their act together.
Don't think it will get here in time though.
