Help Needed with CUBE 3 Firmware

    Hello All,

I have not touched my cube 3 for a while until recently. Now, whenever I attempt to print something it gives me an error code, telling me that the minimum version is not met. I'm pretty sure this is talking about the firmware of my printer, as I have not updated it for a long time.

When I tried to update the firmware, the printer could not connect to the server, and the USB always failed.

This is really bothering me and I would be immensely grateful if you could help,

    Thank you.

Cubify V4.03 requires firmware 1.14B If you have 1.14, there could be a known issue.

Have you reviewed the firmware release notes on the 3DS site?

Tell us more about what information you have on hand.

I have downloaded the firmware on to a USB for 3DS and tried it, and it is not working. The new firmware will not be downloaded onto my printer.

Could it be that my USB is just not working?

    Haven't seen that happen yet.

I know of another machine where the FW update was interrupted and after that it just got locked in a loop.
We forced a reset by removing some of the files on the internal SD.
I only wish I could tell you which files.
But there are only a few in the root.
Trial and error will get you there fairly quickly.

DON'T LOOSE THE 2 BIN FILES ON THE SD DRIVE! One is a serial number and another is the system identifier, as far as we can tell.

    Yes, tried that. Still fails.

Could it be that my USB stick just doesn't work?

I had problems where it sometimes wouldn't read my USB stick. I started using an extension cable because it was easier than reaching down there and couldn't see the port very well. It turns out that the connections on both ends of the extension cable are a tighter fit and I haven't had that problem since.

However, as Tom pointed out, you had the same problem with wifi. So it is unlikely that that is the problem.
