Metrology? What is that in 3D Printing software?

the software that compares the scan data (captured by 3D scanners) with original (CAD) data and detects the deviations between them. It is not related to printing though.

It is for measuring the difference of the object with its original state.
to know the reliability or compliance is the final goal.
